The First and The Last.
Graduation 2006 was probably the last time i'd recalled stepping out of Catholic Junior College.
Nearly 3 years later, last saturday the 29th.
Once again I set foot into this nostalgic structure i call, my alma mater. Apart from the covered up construction areas, everything looked and smelled the same. The bus stop before the narrow side gate, the flights of steps up the library, lecture theatres and canteen, the orange tiles against the blue Arts Cultural Theatre.
Yet this time, I'm back without my compulsory stash of JC notes, without the light blue uniform i never really gotten used to wearing and certainly not the dry-fit sweat shirt that defeated its purpose. Last but not least with little dismay, without the dark blue CJC Monday tie i was most proud of.
In my green checkered weekend dress and my comfortable Crocs Santa, CheeQing and i am back here only for the NYAA Gold Award Interview. Everything, every teacher we met along the way to the inteview hall looked so familiar it felt as if we were still current students in the school. Clad in the different attire from the students made ourselves look and feel so old! Nonetheless, we were glad the ordeals during our time at school were over.
I took one last look of my good ol' alma mater before boarding the bus. That was probably the first out of a long time and also the last time i was going to set foot into the school.
