"A saint once degreed that a man must agree to a woman's proposal today, and fulfil the tradition of February the 29th"
Few would have heard or learn about this Irish tradition if not for this movie. I learnt about it sometime before the last Leap Year, after a little research for an answer to my own curiosity, and the guy gets a fine for rejecting the lady's proposal. Haha. On that last Leap year, i had wanted to try this tradition out on a guy at a cafe. However, despite much contemplation that night and watching him, i decided to put it off. I mean, that tradition wasn't commonly heard of, i can vouch that out of 5 perhaps only 1 know about this. Also, it would be awkward should that guy simply tought it was some silly prank and throw my proposal. How awful. Now that it's been made known, i guess this tradition will soon lose it's uniqueness, just like valentines day. What a compromise.
Leap Years was the best local mediacorp raintree pictures production, the first and only singapore movie productions that i'd ever recommend to my friends and relatives to watch. It's by far, the best i felt of all singapore productions. Wong Li-lin (younger li-ann) sure portrays the typical Singaporean heartland girl-next-door, Anandas Everingham gorgeous (not refering to his hair) with his mysterious character, and and..alright, I shant add in any spoilers hence but do watch it yourself and immerse in this fantasy-like romance amidst this hard reality in Singapore.(:
Corinne May's voice that allowed my emotions to flow along with the vocals...In short, the soundtrack certainly plays a huge part in bringing out the feel..

Yesterday was special in a way. Had a heart to heart chat with the real Sam, which was enjoyable(: Wonder how 5 years down the road, what will become of us? Such coincidence that we can't wait to leave Sg. Ha..
