Incidently last night i had quite a lot on my mind, wanted to pen them down. But it was very late by the time i got home in the wee hours, and in a bid to escape a huge bout of scoldings from the obvious, i decided to hide away with sleep. Well that's the only alternative to get away. I was to meet Da JIe and Siao Mei this morning to go to the Old Folks Home. But i was not confident of being punctual after the late night, i decided to back out and to spend some time here, trying to recall and pen down my thoughts as what i am doing now, from last night before i meet them later for a Christmas Eve concert. I woke up at 9am, but with the dark clouds and cool sleeping conditions, i was lazy enough to turn over and fall back to sleep. The next time i woke up was 2.5hours later, when i decided not to be pig and woke up. Ate brunch and read the papers. In The Sunday Times, i came across an article about this doctor living in um Tibet or Nepal(shit i can't remmeber the country), curing the village people living in the rural parts of cataracts. It was definitely heartwarming how he tries to spread the treatment of cataracts to other doctors from various countries so that they can spread the curing in the rural parts of the world through workshops mentored by the doctor himself. Eyes are the windows to one's soul, also the connection people make with the world...

It was a rather successful christmas gathering yesterday! (= pretty glad it turned out rather well, in fact i was already surprised AJ and Ivan would come. Well, to begin with , it didn't start off too well, due to the timing-uh, all were late except for jun wen, jas and melissa. ( Ok, we're all ashamed) Cheese and i got there at 4pm after getting the limes prepared for one of the games which we didn't get to play. It was definitely an interesting sight for pple on the bus and at the bus stop to witness two girls carrying so many bags of newspaper wrapped things (those were presents btw, so unique right, aha i knew it:P), the longer-haired one carrying a guitar on her back that looked larger and taller than her own height. Ingeniously, we squeezed ourselves with the guitar and the barangs into a two seater seat. Gee, either we were quite skinny or we're just too good with arrangements and flexible with our bodies ( heehee, hey dun turn green with envy k) Wow, i think someone's going to say i'm getting affected by my da jie's...self acknowledging coments..ah well, i guess it's a lil inevitable, we're sisters after all...hohohho..(aha da jie's gg to come love n hug me loads).

Say, we were late, but we were not very late, we emerged 2nd to get to Meryl's place (so Amazing race-like), and while waiting for the rest to arrive, we were bored so played on the guitar for a while, played the cards, etc to kill boredom (we couldn't star off any games until most were here) It wasn't too long before AJ and Ivan came. Being bored while waiting for the last few to come, we started a mahjong game. Gee, they were even earlier than my newfound kor and Da jie!( Kor-aka-Jiefu)...we could all guess why he was soo late..Finally they came but they forgot to meet Yang Jie..lol it was hilarious(tsk tsk, they got too carried away eh), den found out Yang Jie had recall from NS, so couldn't come. So we continued mahjong, and then moved on to the game cheese and i planned (hohoho..flashes cheeky evil grinx) it was called "pass the ball". Until i stopped the song, whoever got the ball peels one layed off and to do the task inside. Ivan was the first to get it, but he was lucky to get off with a toy car as his prize, Aj was next and he was to dance "Dancing Queen" before us as his task. ZeJia was next to get it, his dance was um quite funny so as to shake his ass--"spaghetti", in the song Potatoes. Surprisingly the girls didn't get it, after that we had dinner of Pizza--4 of them, it was gosh so much to fill. Was totally bloated after 2 slices! It was interesting how we actually brought out the log cake to watch while we gobbled on the pizza, only to put it untouched back into the fridge after the dinner. Aj and Ivan went on to book the tickets online, while some of us( zejia,cheese, jas n i) continued mahjong, well everyone didn't feel like continuing so...Before long it was time to exchange presents! hohoho, the highlights of the gathering. It was exciting, i tell you. Da Jie was exhilarated by the double surprise within the newspaper-wrapped presents from cheese and i. (Da jie---peel Banana, peel peel banana!). Genie and siao mei were touched(i hope they were) by the lover bears i wrapped so intricately in their intertwined present from us. Zejia got zebra-related things: a zebra "Z" magnet finished with a zebraon it, and a bouncing zebra toy(it's cute lor). Jas got a 'labbit' hp pouch and a glass windchime, JW a doraemon(= .The other had a lil note and a bookmark, well i din noe what to get them ma..

Time flew so quickly it was 10.30pm before we knew it. Had to rush abit but cheese couldn't come along; jas and JW not joining, and Ivan and AJ were at the theatres earlier to get the tix. We were watching Death Note 2, sneak preview. Hence it was pretty awkward for me to travel with 2 pairs of, ahem, so extra la..but i wanted to watch Death Note 2 anw, so i still went. The show ended at 2am and i managed to get home before she wakes up, but not without a lil scolding before i sneak off away to bed.

Death Note 2 was nice, sequel to Death Note 1 and other than a few boring scenes, it was a competent one, disregarding the fact it was originally from an anime/comic.

People stop here if you haven't watch and was planning to watch it, for what comes next are spoilers of the show..(=

Death Note 2, continued from the hang-in-suspense ending from Death Note 1, provided a more delusive plot that nearly deceived all audience to believe what we saw from Light's perception. It was like watching 金田一 or konan detective-murderer show completed with a tinge of humour. With the 2 extreme characters bearing Light as the protaganist and L as the antaganist, the twosome appealed as the detective L chasing after the murderer Light-aka-Kira who utilised the Death Note to kill criminals. It was a bit like a cat and mouse thing, except the cat is as competent if not, more competent than the mouse. L risked his own life to force Kira/Light into believing he's cornered him, risking a chance of being killed by him. Too preoccupied and obsessed with getting rid of L, he made a mistake in hindsight and fell straight into L's plot, resulting the exposure of his other identity as Kira before his POliceChief father. In his fervent bid to escape, he tried to get Ryuk (the original shinigami death god of the death note) to help him kill everyone for a reward. Light/Kira was betrayed by Ryuk when Ryuk wrote Light's name instead of everyone else's names into the death note. Light/Kira suffers heart attack due to his name in the death note 6min 40 s after Ryuk wrote his name in the death note and he dies, though against his wishes with great struggle, in his father's arms. A bright college student Light, with a shortened life due to an obsession founded by boredom, ended his life this way. L on the other hand, wrote his own name in the death note to test the creditability of the death note and dies peacefully in his sleep 20 days after Light/Kira. The death of the protagonist and then the antagonist. I thought it was quite a good show, da jie mourned the death of L though.

Actually there were many things i had wanted to say, but overnight, i seem to forgot what i was trying to say. Unable to recall, i guess i shall speak of it when i remember in the future. Very soon i'll have to get to work soon, don't know whether i'll enjoy or, dread. Either ways, it's part of life wonders, aren't they. Experiences make up who we are eventually. *Shrugs*
