华中歌谣 and my 'family'
It's been a blessing for me that my 'family' cares for me when nobody else does. It touches me one way or another, somewhat. Thanks for listening to me all the while; thanks for putting up with my bad days; thanks for the many advices and bid to cheer me up; thanks for many many; that i love y'all lots! *hugs*
Went with Jie fu, genie kor, Da Jie, 'darling' (suggested by d.jie) , Ivan and fat cat to HCJC for their school's annual 歌谣after our mugging session as usual about every week。Being in a majority english speaking environment most of my life, this was my first experience to be in a very chinese community and experiencing the chinese atmosphere (no offence), especially like a chinese 'concert', though it's actually a singing competition for potential songwriters and singers. It was great; many talents displayed on stage. It was one great experience and it kinda made me remnisce how i had dreamt of entering HC previously knowling it was near impossible. (Oh well, pple got big dreams and sthg high to look forward ma..) There were many songs i liked, both or either of the tune or lyrics. One of them was the little mermaid, as well as the 追逐梦想 by one of the teen super star. It wasn't because of his reputation that i liked the song; but more of the keyboard tune i liked; then the singing was a bonus which went along well with the soothing mellow music.
But i still like the english song that was featured by one of the special guests-he played the song on a grand piano (OMG i want that grand piano!!) and sung the song at the same time. Gosh; it was really meaningful, kinda gives me a respite from all the pressing academic worries. To say learn to relax; i can't do it. It's difficult to really relax, especially with so much things on my mind which i can't get off my mind for a day. It just..sometimes contribute to me having a bad day, or making an already bad day an even roten one. Oh well, the tune and the lyrics's quite good though or so i thought.(= Went along to Serene Centre's Macs for a while, a little snack and chat before heading to bus stop to take a bus home. Initially it was just cheryl and i going towards different directions as from the guys; then somehow they were very nice to turn back and accompany us. It was very nice of them to wait with me at the slightly deserted bus stop until my 186 bus came( gosh was lucky to have caught air-conned 186 buses from and back home!). Then i guess they went with Da jie to the bus stop opposite where all have buses home. Meanwhile, as the bus was moving off from a bus stop at farrer road, it nearly crashed with a truck that was loaded with earth or cement; couldn't see clearly since it all happened so fast. We just missed by that bit perhaps just some scratches on the bus; but it was pretty frightening, an experience. Imagine getting into an accident near midnight. Plus it was pretty near to where i was sitting; so if the bus hadn't missed the crash; i might be lying perhaps unconscious in hospital now. However, that may be a good respite for me; an excuse for a nice break from reality; from all problems. Ha...Shall stop here for now and perhaps do some reading before i go sleep(= Ta~ta!
