Back from Sarawak
Back from
Sarawak.It's been
6 days since i'm back from Sarawak Mission trip to
Entanyan Village. counting the sunday when i got back into SG.Really missed those times, despite all that has happened..some of us injured, sick, exhausted..etc..Those were part of the fond memories anyone will miss.I'm not exceptional. As i look into the snapshots i took during the trip, i could feel and sense the atmosphere then...On the first day, everyone seemed strangers to each other..and also between us and the villagers and the kampong kids.
"It only takes a spark, to get a fire going.."And we've all bonded well, amongst the youths itself and between us youths and the kids. Feelings were developed along the way..On the last day before our departure on the BUS SKOLAH, I couldn't help but tear. It came just naturally. I guess we've( most of us) gotten quite used (adapted well) to the way opf life there..in the kampong..to leave after about 10 days there..was emotional. The womenfolk teared as well, even Uncle Juen and the village chief! My 'son' Saffian teared under his cap-which i saw and made me cry and wanna take him along with me. He was such a good boy..helpful and funny..i gave him my set of flowers which the kampong kids plucked for us..and a long beary hug b4 i set myself on the bus tearing all the way thru, back to the city. I couldnt see my 'daughter' for she stayed quite far from where we stayed..
On the bus, all of us were remnisciencing on our trip.."
Cement!" , "
Sand!" , "
Chekoup!" ,"
Bagus!"...At night, 2 most impt things we must hav with us..#1-TORCHLIGHT for toilet trip /finding things in the dark ;#2-insect repellent...
Overall,I must say it was really a fruitful and enjoyable trip which i have not regretted joining. I have learnt a lot from this trip and grown up quite a lot..:D i miss the cold baths at the
'countryclub'..
The nights there were...wonderful and mesmerising..on clear nights, the stars were so brightly shining it was an awesome sight when you lie on ur back to star gaze. On full moon, the moon was so bright and round we can walk around outside without torchlight!...Beautifull..wonderful place..carefree and simple life...I'll love to return for visits:) ta~ta!
